The thing about Hip-Hop is that it’s from the underground, ideas from the underbelly, from people who have mostly been locked out, who have not been recognized” -Russel Simmons

Jayce and Marvz are proud to release the debut single ‘S.O.S’ (Rescue Me) from their collaborative album project, “The Therapy Sessions Vol. 1 (Handsome & Healing).” Marvz is an established Hip Hop artist and Jayce is a prominent RnB artist and Producer.

Emerging in response to the emotional and mental toll of the COVID-19 pandemic, “The Therapy Sessions Vol. 1 (Handsome & Healing)” saw the need for a musical outlet to process the challenges they and others were facing. After weeks of listening to beats and discussing concepts, they embarked on the creative journey to bring this remarkable project to life.

The lead single from the album, “S.OS.,” was inspired by the “Rescue Me” vocal sample. Beyond its acronym, “S.O.S,” which traditionally stands for “Save Our Souls,” the song explores broader themes of therapy, relationships, and the yearning for a “sense of security.” “S.O.S” vividly captures the artist’s struggles, drawing parallels between personal trials and the salvation found in Hip Hop culture.

Marvz, the owner of Mobcow Entertainment, draws inspiration from a diverse range of artists, including MC Hammer, 2Pac, AKA, Fred the Godson, HHP, Prokid, Jay-Z and more. Each artist contributes something unique to his musical style, from metaphors and flow to subject matter and depth.

Marvz believes that music is divine and helps us reflect, dissect, heal, and celebrate various aspects of life. His philosophy is that music should focus on the human experience and growth, whether addressed seriously or jovially.

Jayce and Marvz are breaking free from the underground and invite the world to join them on their musical journey, sharing the unfiltered truth, and celebrating the healing power of music.
