“We going back to back… October, December, December, February.”

Chulumanco Nazo joins the multi-award-winning producer for an exceptional campaign.

In a dynamic union of music and social media, Grammy Award-winning artist Zakes Bantwini has partnered up with TikTok sensation

Chulumanco ‘Afrika Buchanan’ Nazo will soundtrack the perfect DStv December jingle.

Bantwini and Nazo came together at Universal Music’s studios in Johannesburg to create an irresistible summer campaign song for DStv.

Nazo, using the social media handle @eternalwhiteowl, went viral on TikTok during the 2023 Rugby World Cup, declaring that December would be three months long if the Springboks were to win (which they did). His chant “December, December, December” features on the Bantwini-produced track, which also features an incredible choir, taking social media artistry and turning it into musical greatness.

Echoing this sentiment is Yatish Narsi, Chief Marketing Officer at MultiChoice South Africa, saying: “South Africa is a festive nation; the holiday season is when our joyous nature truly comes out.

So, it made sense to create a campaign that echoes our love for December and our appreciation of festivities as a way to usher in an electrifying time of year.

“To have a young TikToker in the studio with an iconic musician who is also a Grammy Award winner is no longer the stuff of dreams; it’s what reality is made of at DStv.

Who knows where Chulumanco’s social media career will take him? We’re happy to play a small part in his journey.”

Bantwini’s merry track is a reminder that DStv is the home of entertainment. Whether you’re a lover of local or international series, reality, sports, music, or kids’ content, every taste is catered for.

When it comes to content at DStv, it’s always December, December, December.
